The House
BORRIGNI is a contemporary atelier based in Milano, working exclusively through individual commission.
Every BORRIGNI garment begins with a commission. Nothing is produced in advance or held as finished inventory.
The house develops garments through direct dialogue with the client, combining existing silhouettes with individual adjustments, measurements, and material selection.
Work is carried out in Milano through made-to-measure, bespoke, and private commission.
Milano
Approach
Individual Commission
Each garment is drafted and cut after confirmation using the measurements and specifications provided for the client.
Controlled Production
The house does not operate through seasonal inventory or wholesale distribution. Work is accepted according to capacity.
Material Selection
Fabrics are selected according to structure, weight, finish, and intended use rather than seasonal trend.
Principles
Precision
Proportion, balance, and fit guide the development of each silhouette and commission.
Restraint
The house avoids unnecessary ornament, excessive branding, and trend-driven designs.
Continuity
Patterns and previous commissions may be retained privately by the house for future work with returning clients.
Inquiry
BORRIGNI works through individual commission rather than retail stock. Garments are produced after confirmation using measurements and specifications provided for the client.
Most commissions begin with an existing BORRIGNI silhouette from the Monolith or Fresco collections, then develop through fit adjustments, material selection, and design modification.
Made-to-measure commissions are typically completed within four to six weeks depending on construction and material availability.
Further information regarding commissioning, fittings, and private work is available through the atelier.
